English, Humanities and Languages
We encourage students to develop as confident, creative and capable communicators.
English classes invite students to participate and engage with, create and respond to, a wide range of texts – extending and enhancing their understanding of different topics, times, places, people and perspectives.
Studying Humanities helps students to better understand the world we live in, through understanding themselves and the historic events that have impacted society. Students have the opportunity to select social sciences, History and Geography. In the Senior School, students can focus their attention in key areas such as Legal Studies, Business Innovation, Tourism, Child Studies, Geography and History.
Our Languages program aims to equip students to become critical and competent communicators in a foreign language. Language proficiency provides students with an appreciation of cultural experiences to develop cultural understanding. Students select from German or Chinese from Year 7 and can select to continue in the senior school years.
